Blogging

While pouring over the many blogs I follow I came across a link for http://www.socialarchivist.com/. As I look about all things said about our digital memories vs our physical memories, I wonder if we have lost the connection with physical things. Things such as photo albums, printing photographs, scrap books, letters, notes, general random trinkets.

I have looked at the Print to Blog (or whatever) thing a few times and have wondered if I would ever get my blog printed. If I ever start typing things worth while I might. I like to look back at what I have had to say but I am not sure if it is worth getting bound. If in a few years I am still updating this blog I will get it printing. I would love to look back and know what I was doing and thinking in 2010. Being able to flip to a page and remember something random, or see the little pictures of jackets I wanted.

Speaking of which. I love the site Weardrobe.com and might make an account on their. However I do not think I wear good enough stuff. Not that what is in my closet is bad, I am just to afraid to make some of the combination I would like to make. If I got brave enough to join the site I would of course add the photos to this blog, which would be amazing to look back at if I printed it.

We may attack governments for the spread of surveillance culture, but users of social media websites make more information about themselves available than Big Brother could ever hoped to obtain by covert means.
