Shopping for Ty

I have seven windows up. One is this blog and the other six are sites about guinea pig stuff.

Right now we have Tiberius Badger in an old aquarium. It is thirty by twelve. Which is sadly only two and a half square foot. And the one were are going to get him from PetCo is forty by twenty one, which wire sides. This new cage is about six square feet. A few sites I have looked at say that the best size is seven and a half.

I also have no clue what kind of bedding I should use. I have been using old newspapers and letters, just your basic junk mail. The guinea pigs people of the world wide web are split down the middle. "No, they'll eat the paper and ink and will get sick" "Yes, they just might get a little inky" "No" "Yes, it is perfectly safe" Even the PetCo people told me it was fine. So I pick that one, because it is cheaper and I am helping recycle -ish.

There is just so much I do not know. I thought I did a lot of research before I got him, and I thought the many smaller babies I have had would help. Crazy.

We're getting him his new cages this weekend or next. When I get my tax check (after I take Anthony out) I am getting Ty a ball. They are HUGE. I am pretty excited about it.
I haven't had the time, or camera to take any pictures of Ty. I need to, maybe when the weather gets better I will take him outside and let him run around in the grass. Which is good for them, I just have to make sure that he does not get a sunburn or eaten by the owl that lives near my house. That would suck, a lot.
